Who we are

Gestu is a trade name of Grupo 8A S. de R.L., a company incorporated in Honduras (“Gestu”, “we”). This policy explains what personal data we collect through gestu.dev, how we use it and what rights you have over it.

Data we collect

We only collect the data you voluntarily send us through the contact form:

• Name and email address.
• Company and phone number, if you choose to provide them.
• Project type, approximate budget and the message you write.

In addition, our hosting provider automatically logs technical data about each visit (IP address, browser, requested page and date) for security and to keep the site running.

How we use your data

• To answer your request and prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
• To keep in touch about the project you describe.
• To protect the site against abuse and automated submissions (bot verification).

We do not sell or rent your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we will not send you newsletters without your explicit consent.

Legal basis

We process your data based on the consent you give when submitting the form and on our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us.

Who we share your data with

We only share data with the providers we need to run the site and reply to you, who process it on our behalf:

• Google (Firebase Hosting, Cloud Functions and Firestore): website hosting, and processing and storage of form messages.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: checking that the form is sent by a person and not an automated program. To do so, Cloudflare analyzes technical signals from your browser and your IP address; it does not use advertising cookies.
• Telegram: internal notification to the Gestu team with the content of your message so we can reply quickly.
• Google Fonts: delivery of the site's typefaces, which means your browser connects to Google servers.

Some of these providers may store data outside Honduras, for example in the United States. We may also disclose data when a competent authority requires it by law.

How long we keep it

We keep form messages while there is an active conversation with you and for up to 24 months after the last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Hosting logs are kept according to the provider's retention periods, usually no longer than 30 days.

Cookies

gestu.dev does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site may store minimal technical preferences in your browser, such as language, that do not identify you.

Security

The site only works over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to received messages is restricted to Gestu staff. No system is infallible, but we apply reasonable measures to protect your data.

Your rights

You may ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use. Email us at info@gestu.dev and we will reply within 30 days.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with its update date.
